LACC has sponsored an open invitation golf Tournament for the past 13 years to help raise funds.  The tournament started in 2009 with 8 volunteers that decided to play a round together at Province Lake golf course.  Over time it has grown to as many as 75 players and become one of the largest annual fundraisers for the non-profit.  Province Lake continues to host the tournament and has really helped it grow by coordinating a shotgun start, sponsor signage, and special events (who remembers the “driving cannon”?).  The tournament is normally scheduled every third Friday of July.  The event held July 16, 2021 raised 4,861.15 for LACC!  Participants got a great round with friends, a welcome gift, other prizes, and a delicious BBQ lunch on-site.  And most importantly, the tournament after party has helped build a great group of friends that not only look forward to the event each year, but also celebrate other events throughout the year.  Check out photos from past years events and be sure to sign up to play in 2022!

Here is the Information for our 14th LACC golf tournament:

This year’s tournament will be put on by the newly formed golf committee.  Committee members are:

Beth Howard (

Cameron Owens (

Phil Oreto (

Connor Blackwell

Steve Rife

I’m still wobbling around on this bad hip so my physical activity will be limited again this year and I won’t be able to compete.  However, my son will be playing and I will be there to support the event and hang out with everybody.  Maybe I’ll run a drink cart!  And of course, I’ll host the after party at my place.  I’d like to thank the entire committee for helping me this year.  Especially Beth who will take the lead running the event again and Cam who will serve as my co-chairman.  Connor and Steve have been recruited to the committee completely against their will, but thanks anyway.

Any questions or suggestions for the event can be sent to Beth, Cam, me, and/or  We look forward to another successful event!

Thank you Phil

Costs for this program represent our weighted costs for the Divers, Captain and boat usage.

Hopeful that we’ll be yelling “BINGO!” again in the not-too-distant future.

In 2017, LACC explored starting a community BINGO game to raise money for LACC.  BINGO is heavily regulated requiring state licensing, reporting, and compliance with varying state laws.  The pilot was such a success, that LACC moved into “phase 2” in 2018 obtaining an annual license and hosting games monthly throughout the year, extending the invitation beyond the borders of Lake Arrowhead community.  In 2019, Beth Howard took over the event from the volunteers and is the current “BINGO lady”, a title she is very proud of.  The event has continued to raise money for the non-profit but more importantly, has become a great event for the community to gather, enjoy some home cooked food, and spend a small amount of money for a chance to win cash prizes.  Unfortunately due to COVID, the event was suspended in early 2020.  Due to the pandemic, there is currently no timeline set to restart the event, but we are hopeful that we’ll be yelling “BINGO!” again in the not-too-distant future.  For more information about the event or to volunteer to help make it a success, please contact Beth Howard at

The 50/50 Raffle is one of our largest fundraisers each year.

We only sell a maximum of 500 numbered tickets at $20 per ticket.  We did not have the raffle last year (2020) due to Covid.  However, in 2019, we sold all 500 tickets!

We will start selling raffle tickets in June, and the drawing will be held at the LACC Annual Meeting which is scheduled for Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 9:00am at the Lake Arrowhead Community, clubhouse 2 located at 206 Old Portland Road, North Waterboro, Maine.

The prizes will be as follows:        1st prize – 30% of the total ticket sales

2nd prize – 15% of the total ticket sales

3rd prize – 5% of the total ticket sales

50% of the total ticket sales minus expenses will go to LACC for its charitable purposes.

If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, they will be available after June 1st and you can contact Tracie Doyle at

Lake Arrowhead Calendars

Each year, LACC sells calendars with pictures from around Lake Arrowhead that are submitted by our members and the Lake Arrowhead Community.  This fundraiser was started by a former board member, Louanne Romaneck, and is now being run by Kellie McHugh.  In the fall, Kellie starts circulating emails requesting calendar orders, and the calendars are distributed in December.  If you think you have a great picture and want to submit it for consideration to be in our calendar, you can submit it to Kellie now.  Please limit your photo submissions to five pictures each and be sure to submit a good quality picture from a camera or newer cell phone.  The pictures must be related to Lake Arrowhead.  The calendars are $20 each, and we are able to ship them for an additional cost.  The calendars are beautiful and make excellent holiday gifts.  If you wish to submit photos, you can submit them to, and if you wish to purchase a calendar, you can contact her starting in September.
